Emotions
Emotional awareness is foundational for inculcating kindness and building confidence. It helps children understand their own feelings and the feelings of others; builds empathy; fosters coping skills.
Project BRICK takes a proactive approach to the developmental and social needs of students — partnering with schools, NGOs and communities to build resilient children rooted in kindness and confidence.

The unkindness, silence and self-doubt many of us carry were learned, not born in us. Project BRICK exists to change that pattern at its root — starting with children, and reaching the adults who are still waiting to receive what these children are learning to give themselves.
Brick by brick. Person by person. Generation by generation.
Project BRICK is built on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) — the broad, well-established field of research into how children learn to understand emotions, build relationships, and make responsible decisions. To bring SEL to life in a structured, practical way, we use CASEL, the world's leading and most extensively validated SEL framework, which defines the five core competencies our workshops are built around: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Research on CASEL-based programmes has found gains of up to 11 percentile points in academic achievement, alongside measurable improvements in behaviour and emotional well-being — evidence that social-emotional growth and academic success move together, not in competition.
Alongside CASEL, we use ADKAR, a globally recognised change framework, to make sure children don't just learn about kindness and confidence, but genuinely absorb and practise them until they become lasting habits. Our research also points to something most programmes overlook: kindness and confidence aren't separate goals, but mutually reinforcing ones. A child who learns self-kindness — treating themselves with the same compassion they'd offer a friend — builds the internal foundation that genuine confidence grows from; confidence, in turn, is what allows a child to act on their kindness rather than just feel it. This is why Project BRICK teaches both together, not one after the other.
Kindness and confidence aren't personality traits a child either has or doesn't. They're teachable — and together, they're the foundation everything else is built on.
We envision a world where every child has the inner foundation to confidently express themselves, flourish in life, and contribute to a kinder, more compassionate world.
We partner with like-minded educational institutions, communities, NGOs and organisations to build a more resilient society. Through highly engaging and experiential programmes, we cultivate mindsets and behaviours rooted in confidence and kindness — helping children build the resilience to navigate life and thrive.

Project BRICK's approach has been put into practice with Navjyoti Foundation's Bal Gurukul programme — a model that trains young leaders, known as Bal Gurus, to educate and mentor younger, vulnerable children in their own communities. Because Bal Gurus carry the responsibility of leading others, the confidence and kindness they build in themselves doesn't stop with them — it becomes the foundation for the next child they teach.
In 2025, we delivered a 7-session online workshop with Bal Gurus aged 10–15 at Navjyoti Foundation, focused on understanding emotions, confidence, and kindness. In 2026, we returned for a 3-day in-person workshop with the same cohort, going deeper into emotional management. Across both, the response from the students was consistently positive, they engaged enthusiastically with the activities and carried that energy through the sessions. Our assessment of the sessions have shown significant impact on the students.

We are a group of life and leadership coaches, learning design specialist, educator/facilitator and visual artist committed to fostering a generation of children who are not only academically capable but also emotionally balanced, kind, and self-assured.

"I wish there was a workshop like this to inculcate Kindness and Confidence during the formative years. My school days would have been less stressful and more enjoyable."

"Over time, I learned to embrace self-kindness, which transformed my confidence and outlook on life. This journey inspired me to help children develop the same self-compassion."

"I want children to be kinder to themselves and to feel confident in voicing their opinions."

"I found that children are born resilient and are capable in many ways... the foundation of self-definition can be laid when a child is seen with awareness, kindness and belief."
